Who are we?
The Benoît Chamoux Foundation

Objectives
The Benoît Chamoux Foundation, created in March 1996 under the auspices of the Fondation de France, aims to develop social and cultural projects in Nepal. These projects are inspired by the actions of Benoît Chamoux, who disappeared in the Himalayas in 1995, during the ascent of his fourteenth summit of more than 8000 meters.

Executive Committee
An Executive Committee of 4 people, chaired by Fabienne Clauss, controls the Benoît Chamoux Foundation. This committee makes the essential decisions concerning the choice and the implementation of the projects and defines the actions to carry out to make known the Foundation and to increase its resources. The last annual meeting of the Committee took place on 23 November 2018 at the Fondation de France headquarters in Paris.

The Fondation de France
The Benoît Chamoux Foundation is under the auspices of the Fondation de France. The latter is the guarantor of its activities: collection of donations, redistribution of grants for scholarships, bookkeeping, etc. As a public utility, the Fondation de France can issue tax receipts for donations made to the Benoît Chamoux Foundation under its auspices. In France, private donors can deduct from their tax 66% of the amount of their donations up to a limit of 20% of their taxable income. For companies, they can deduct from their tax 60% of the amount of their donations, up to 5 per thousand of their revenue.
